Dmitri Leshchov is the December 2013 Employee of the Month. Dmitri works in Information Technology as a Client Technologies Specialist and has been with All Children's since 1991. Dmitri was recognized for his Service Excellence by a colleague who wrote:
For two weeks, I was experiencing difficulty viewing documents in the new Document Library. Information Technology was 'VNCing' my PC, checking the memory, clearing cookies, and defragmenting the hard drive (all terms I am not really too convinced I understand). As an RN working in a very fast moving world of computers, it is hard sometimes to just keep up, never mind knowing that cookies have something to do with it all (and they are not even chocolate chip). When my PC continued to refuse to let me view documents in the Document Library, I requested the IT department to have someone come over to my desk so I could show them my concerns. Dmitri came, with a smile on his face and ready to listen.
The dictionary describes a listener as someone who makes an effort to hear something, and pays attention. One who hears and listens attentively, or in an official professional way. Dmitri not only listened, he heard what I was saying and did a quick and efficient differential analysis and my computer was up and running ten minutes later. According to Dmitri, my profile was corrupt (whatever that means). I am now able to review all Document Library forms thanks to Dmitri's quick action, courteous way and terrific listening skills.
Dmitri's Department Director added:
Dmitri does what it takes to help and assist his coworkers with any PC issues. He strives to deliver outstanding Service Excellence to his colleagues and coworkers and is always ready to do what he can to resolve any PC issues in a quick efficient and courteous manner. He is a great asset to the IT team!
Dmitri, congratulations for receiving the All Children's Hospital Employee of the Month honors and thank you so much for being here to help the ACH staff with PC issues, cookies, corrupt profiles, memory, disc defragmentation and all the other idiosyncrasies with the PCs we use to deliver care to the children we are privileged to serve.
