Professional Billing Director

Description: Under the direction of the Administrative Director of Revenue Cycle, this position is responsible for the development, direction, coordination and execution of the billing and collection activities of multiple pediatric specialty practices (Pediatric Physician Services, Inc., West Coast Neonatology, Inc. and several private clients.) Assesses, plans, implements and directs the transformation of key revenue cycle processes, including charge entry, coding, billing, collections, payment posting, A/R, audit and recovery and denial management. Establishes priorities and directs the activities of the Professional Billing staff. Works closely with the ACSP leadership team and practice administrators to maximize the quality and efficiency of key revenue cycle operations.
Requirements: Master's degree and a minimum of 5 years leadership experience in physician or hospital billing and/or collection experience is required. In lieu of a Master's degree, an undergraduate degree and 7 years of physician and/or hospital revenue cycle experience in a supervisory role. Must possess strong leadership skills - Visionary leader who can motivate employees to obtain great results. Sets strategy and leads team towards achieving goals. Transformational leadership style with demonstrated history of successful process improvement initiatives. Strong analytical problem solving skills necessary to resolve complex issues, address financial matters, analyze trends and interpret key performance metrics. Proven ability to function independently and to develop, implement, and formally document plans of action. Significant experience developing and implementing billing and collection operational systems procedures and directing the management of decentralized revenue cycle staff and operations. Excellent understanding of computer systems and demonstrated ability in working with information systems in order to automate processes to the highest extent possible
