Office Assistant II

Description: LAKELAND LOCATION Receptions and performs routine and advanced office and registration functions for all programs/practices supported by the Outpatient Care Center.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required. Four years of clerical experience, including two years in a medical setting required. Associate degree preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Advanced computer skills required, including the ability to use several software programs at the same time and navigate websites related to patient care activities. Knowledge of insurance authorization process preferred. Excellent oral and written skills and ability to demonstrate positive interpersonal skills required. Requires light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally (lift, push, pull). Must have ability to interact effectively with multiple health care providers and large patient volumes within a high-energy, fast-paced environment. Basic math skills required. Visual and auditory acuity to operate general office equipment required. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Needs ability to effectively deal with stress and multi-task with minimal supervision, amidst frequent interruptions. Ambulatory care setting experience preferred. Billing, third party insurance experience preferred
