Plans, implements, documents, and evaluates the orientation and educational programs for general nursing education and assigned area. Functions as a resource person and consultant to staff and the community. Creates an environment that supports creative thinking, new ideas, professional growth, adult learning principles, open communication, and collaborative relationships.
Bachelor of Science degree in Specialty;
Must have three years pediatric clinical experience with demonstrated clinical and technical ability.
Evidence of particpation in evidenced based research related to clinical practice
Ability to problem solve complex clinical situations.
Current licensure in the State of Florida
Demonstated ability to apply adult education learning theory and educational techniques.
Must demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds, training, and experience.
Evidence of leadership skills.
Experience with coaching and validation.
Works well one to one or in groups.
Ability to teach and coordinate training.
Knowledge of PC and office automation equipment required.
Ability to move about the hospital campus.
Applicable certifications such as AHA, and/or eligibiity to become trainer certified.
