Manages the clinical operations of the Hematology/Oncology/HSCT Clinic and practice operations of ACSP Heme-Onc and HSCT practices. Supervises designated nursing and support staff and coordinates patient care activities. Provides regular support for physicians and manages daily office and human resource functions. Assists the Director of Operations and Medical Director and others to ensure efficient clinic operations, clinical outcomes, established goals and monitor and act on financial performance. Participates in direct nursing care as required. Demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in the management of nursing care for Heme-Onc-HSCT pediatric patients, newborn through adolescence and their families. Assures case management for all patients in the Heme-Onc-HSCT clinics. Collaboratively develops strategies to manage the care environment and negotiate the patient through the care experience. Fosters and leads development and implementation of an interdisciplinary outcomes-oriented plan of care. Demonstrates commitment to nursing and physician practice through the following: role modeling, proactive management with nursing and physician leaders, leadership, educational interventions with outcomes analysis, and quality improvement activities to enhance the provision of optimal practice outcomes. Ensure the provision of safe nursing care to patients as defined by the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
Current licensure in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse is required. Additionally, a BSN is required and Masters Degree preferred. BLS required.
