Is able to effectively assist the physicians with any and all procedures performed in the cath labs, possesses leadership abilities and can effectively assist with cath lab staff instruction and development.
Graduate of an approved cardiovascular program or at least three (3) years of recent experience as a LevelI and/or II tech in a modern lab with sufficient demonstrated knowledge of all areas within the CV lab. EP experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to utilize a high level of tack and diplomacy in dealing with a variety of people including physicians, staff, parents and patients in a fast paced environment.
Is licensed by the Fla Dept of Professional Regulation as a CV tech. Must have current RCIS Certification.
Must be ACLS, PALS, and BLS certified, and maintains certification.
Must be able to understand and react effectively to the age-specific needs unique to assigned patients.
Must be able to move about the cath lab(s) and any areas of the hospital campus.
Must be able to sit and/or stand and concentrate on visual observation of instruments and monitors.
Must be available to take call.
Possesses auditory acuity and manual dexterity to operate various equipment.
Repetitive wrist and finger movement.
May experience long periods of standing.
