EXPERIENCE IN LEADING A PROCEDURAL TEAM IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING AREAS: CVOR, CATH LAB, ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY, INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGYAND/OR PERIANESTHESIA CARE UNIT.
The RN IV demonstrates an extensive knowledge base and expert clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills. The RN IV demonstrates the ability to recognize and respond to a dynamic situation, using past experiences to integrate and interpret multiple data sources. The RN IV demonstrates an intuitive comprehension of situations and an understanding of how health and illness issues impact the individual and family. The RN IV demonstrates leadership in establishing clinical practice standards. Demonstrates and completes unit-specific Expert Clinical Pathway. The skills and competencies are normally acquired through 5 or more years of related experience as a registered nurse.
Current licensure in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.
RN1’s and RN’2’s – BSN preferred but not required.
RN3’s – National Certification in area of specialty or BSN required.
RN4’s – National Certification in area of specialty and BSN required.
Pediatric Nursing experience preferred. Some positions may have specific experience requirements.
Ability to perform physical activity, including but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering (pinching, typing, handling, etc.), lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching and stooping.
Cognitive skill required to administer safe patient care.
Physical ability to perform all aspects of patient care, including CPR on all patients ranging in age from neonate to adult.
Read/write/speak and understand English.
Auditory and visual ability to assess and provide nursing care.
Ability to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians, ancillary and support staff.
Ability to effectively manage within an environment of emotional and physical stress.
