Must be able to perform routine and complicated diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures and must be able to operate state-of-the-art cardiovascular lab equipment.
Prefer a graduate of an approved cardiovascular program or at least two (2) years recent experience as a Level I tech in a lab with sufficient demonstrated knowledge of all areas within the CV lab. Prefer someone who is working toward becoming licensed by the Florida Dept. of Professional Regulation as a CV tech or other paramedical professional. Maintains current CPR certification. Must be able to understand and react effectively to the age-specific needs unique to assigned patients. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to utilize a high level of tact and diplomacy in dealing with a variety of people including physicians, staff, parents and patients in a fast paced environment. Possesses auditory acuity and manual dexterity for operation of various equipment. Repetitive wrist and finder motion. May experience long periods of standing. Must be able to move about the cath lab(s) and all areas of the hospital campus. Must be able to sit and concentrate on visual observation of instruments. Must be able to take call
